I made a origami mobile to hang over the diaper changing place. The mobile frame itself is from Granit. The origamis I folded with the help of this site. I made mainly birds for the mobile, there is one dinosaur too just because I wanted to make a dinosaur and birds evolved from dinosaurs anyway (maybe not from tyrannosaurus... but what ever).
After taking taking these pictures I removed the one extension piece from the mobile, because A hit his head on the mobile while changing diapers. I'm sure Likka does not even see that far, it mainly humors me now.
Very cute idea. And it's okay if it's just for you right now, it's important that mom has things around that make her happy!
ReplyDeleteI think Likka would not see the mobile even with the extension piece. I've understood that at her age she can see clearly in about half feet away. So I like your point, that things need to be fun for me. :)
DeleteVery Cute! Likka can see, she just can't focus too far--though that only lasts a few weeks. The birds will be just colourful blurs--and what's wrong with that? It is important that you have things which make you happy, too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess she can see somesorts of blobs of colour. So far I think most of the things I've made are for me, but that will change.
