This most likely does not apply to all latitudes, but now is the best season to clean the fridge. The temperature outside is about the same as it is in a fridge, which means it's so easy to empty the frigde and just take everything outside and then you are in no hurry with the cleaning. Like for instance you might run into delays like lets say you have a baby and in the middle of your cleaning project she desides it's not the time now to put all the things back to the frigde but in two hours it is. When a delay like that happens you are really glad you put all the food outside.
Yep, that's our latitude, too! And I missed cleaning the freezer last year. I am looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteYou mean your chest freezer in the basement? Had to laugh for your excitement for cleaning it :D But I too look forward to cleaning the freezer again. I like these sort of once a year or twice a year cleaning projects.
DeleteThat's a really good idea, I never thought of that. I pile everything on the counters and then either knock a jar down or spill the cleaning water all over the kitchen because I'm in a hurry and make everything worse. :) Your plan is much more practical.
ReplyDeletecleaning in a hurry is never too good. I've knocked one vase down and a plant when I've tried to vacuum in a hurry.
