Interlude

Since no painting is obviously finished yet, you will get an interlude, with flowers. It is the perfect time here in Finland to collect wild flowers.

We have a nature reserve near by us. It's actually a pretty cool place. There are bird watching towers and the area is organically kept in good shape. There are even cows that keep the grass in control. I went there with my bike. The lupins are just starting to flower and I even found lilac bushes.

I had to place the lilacs on my night stand. The smell is divine.

  1. Did you really collect all of these while out on a walk?! I am officially jealous.

    1. I know! It's a great place and it's just few hundred meters away. But these plants are nothing special, I'm sure even in urban areas there are always some flowers, lupins grow here on the side of the roads and on building sites. The white flower is considered more of a weed than a flower and it can grow everywhere. The lilac is the only one I might not find in a urban area (unless it's in someones yard). Keep you eyes open. There are plants everywhere.

  2. Gorgeous. The only place we can get flowers like that out here is the florist, and they cost a lot of money. I'm jealous too.

    1. Are you sure? Check my previous comment up there.
I of course know nothing of the place you live in but I find it very unlikely for you to have no place where flowers would grow wild.

    1. Thanks. It's a nice thing to do, picking flowers I mean.
