Source of inspiration for the blog

After the news about the kid I for a while even considered to quit blogging because I do not want a baby blog, that would just be too personal. I know I will do even more crafts related to the kid and I will have less interest working on the home stuff than I have before. So if I do want to keep blogging I need to include posts related to the kid, otherwise I will have no (or too little) contents in my blog. But this will never be a baby blog, let me tell you! This will continue to be a crafts and DIY blog like before but with a new source of inspiration.

Since I have done a lot sewing and knitting projects for the kid already I have created separate posts from those. I'm afraid if you are not interested in baby gear the next following weeks (or months...) will be quite boring for you. I even myself know that I might have gotten a bit too excited about the new possibilities in crafts after I realized I'm pregnant. I have not spent that much more time doing crafts than before but I've just changed the target. So far I have loved making children's clothes and stuff. Those things are so small that those finish in an instant. I have also spent lot of time in Ravelry searching for new things to knit and crochet. I'm not even finished with all the things I have started but yet I look new stuff to do constantly.

So today's post will just be a sneak peak of the stuff I've done. I have made proper posts from them all, so keep tuned.

  1. So glad you will not stop blogging, we'd miss you so much!

We don't have kids, and it doesn't look like it's going to happen, but I love seeing all of your projects no matter what they're for. Besides, they could be good gift ideas for those of us without kids.

Looking forward to all of your new inspiration. Oooh, and a nursery, I've always thought it would be so fun to design a nursery. :)

    1. Awww thanks Christina.
I'm really happy you would keep following eventhough this is not something that is current to you.

Oh damn, the nursery... where on earth will we put that! I think our nursery will be tiny, or even just a corner in the bedroom.

  2. Have you really made all of these things?! Impressive- as always.
Funny but that first picture has all of the exact colors I want to use in the nursery (everything in the States is geared towards pink and blue and it's really driving me nuts)

    1. I know I'm going to offend someone, but I really dislike the pale blue and pink themes that people seem to use a lot. Newborns are not aware of their gender and should be treated as kids not girls or boys, later it's different when they become self aware and if they want to dress in pink or only blue that is fine with me.
When I was kid in early 80's I was mostly dressed in brown and yellow and bright red, it was maybe very fashionable here then. For me those now seem like the best colours again, perhaps because those bring me good memories.
I do hope I can inspire you and other readers with what I've done.

    2. I agree. What is this "Oh, you're a boy and here's your color. And be sure to stay away from that other color" So annoying.

  4. I can tell you that there will be time that it is wonderful to do non-kid things! Those things that are your own ones, not related to kid. So I guess this blog will be one of those! Been there - done that :D

    1. I can imagine. I think you are right. I will now take all I can from this inspiration while it lasts and once that is over I have something else to get inspired from.
