My biceps are apparently getting huge, because one day I lifted a thing from the ground and as I was moving my arms up the other sleeve tore close from the bicep. Ups.
Since the shirt was now unusable I made a dress out of it for Likka. The button-front is now the back and I added a pocket to the front of the dress. And edged everything with bias tape. I tried to size it so that it would fit Likka when she is able to sit, because dresses on someone who cannot do anything else than lay do not look too good in my opinion.
You're so talented. Have you ever thought of selling remade clothes like this? An Etsy shop is really easy, and you could make as many or as few as you wanted. If we had kids, I'd certainly want to buy clothes from you. And I know you just have SO MUCH free time right now... ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is not a bad idea, I just wonder if I have the motivation to make clothes for someone I don't know. I do like to make these, but I usually know who I'm making the thing for. I would enjoy making clothes for your children :D, I would sort of know them because I "know" you.
DeleteBut I could actually consider making an Etsy shop, thanks for the idea!
That is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteI saw this and thought of you: http://retrorenovation.com/2013/10/30/american-dream-house-circa-1940/
Thanks!
DeleteWow, how wise of people to make smaller homes, so they did not need to take that much mortgage. I wish people would still be as wise. That miniature home could so be in the Undersized urbanite contest. http://www.undersizedurbanite.com/
Ihastuttavan mekon tuunasit, kyllä Likan nyt kelpaa :)
ReplyDeleteKiitos Katja, toivottavasti kelpaa.
